THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29

2:00 - 3:30 p.m. - Scotch Tasting

Let our spirits gurus walk you through the world of scotch whiskey. Learn what makes a single malt different from a blended scotch what does "peaty" mean, should you serve scotch "neat or "on the rocks" and why are some scotches darker than others.

2:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Hudson's Bay Blanket, History & Hands-on Make your Own Mittens Workshop

Join one of the Fairmont's naturalists & history buffs as he takes you on a journey back in Canadian history. You'll even get to make and take home your own pair of mittens.

6:00 - 9:00 p.m - Thursday Evening Keynote, Dinner and Social, Loose Moose Theatre Company

The Thursday night social program features dinner and a keynote presentation from Dr. Jennifer James, followed by improvisational theatre by the Loose Moose Theatre Company.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30

6:30 - 7:30 a.m. - Early Morning Run/Walk

Join us for a run/walk around the Lake Louise area.

 

9:30 - 11:00 a.m. - The Art of the Reception

Learn to create a variety of finger foods for your dinner party or reception. Simple to make and beautiful to look at, these canapes and/or hors d'oeuvres will surely please your guests.

11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. and 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. - Geocaching: Lock in Your Coordinates!

2:00 - 3:30 p.m. - Fairmont Artistic Mixology Experience

The Fairmont Artistic Mixology Experience has resurrected the cocktail classics, added a modern twist, and unveiled them on the shores of Lake Louise. Discover the key ingredients to creating extra-ordinarily balanced flavours using the tools of a Professional Mixologist.

4:30 - 6:00 p.m. - ARPA Program Showcase Reception

Join the ARPA Board of Directors, volunteers and staff and learn more about the programs, initiatives and research that ARPA is currently involved in. Beverages and snacks will be provided and representatives from all ARPA programs will be available to answer your questions.

 

6:30 - 10:30 p.m. - Trade Show

This year's Trade Show event presents an opportunity to network and meet with various suppliers and services that are important to your organizations. The Trade Show features multiple prize draws, food and beverages, and the ARPA silent auction.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31

6:45 - 7:45 a.m. - Worldbeat Session

This fitness session will involve creative movement, dance, martial arts, yoga and mindfulness breathing.

 

9:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Underground at the Chateau Tour

Take a look behind the scenes at the underground of the Chateau.

1:30 - 3:00 p.m. - Guided Hike around the Lake Louise area

2:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Christmas Card Craft Corner

Join us for a craft session where you will get a chance to make 3 different styles of Christmas cards.

2:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Beer Tasting

Find out about how beer is made, it's history and what's new in the world of beer. You'll have the opportunity to sample and compare a myriad of Canadian, Albertan and European beers.

COST: $20/person

 

6:00 - 8:00 p.m. - President's banquet

The President's Banquet, hosted by the ARPA President, includes the presentation of the ARPA, AABRD and Energize Awards for 2009. This semi-formal affair will celebrate the past year's achievements as we look to the future.

COST: $65/person

 

8:00 - 11:00 p.m. - Mask-arade Ball

Join us on Halloween night for a Mask-arade Dance where attendees will create their own mask for the evening and recieve prizes for best costume.
